My brain is wired for strategic pattern seeing. I see the whole "chessboard” (ecosystem) of a business and what is hidden to most - precariously positioned pieces, counter-moves likely by competitors, customers and donors, probably market shifts - and then the winning moves that will re-align your board for optimal advantage.
"Seeing what’s hidden" happens because of an intuitive, incisive, progressive, “heat-seeking” inquiry technique I’ve used for 25 years. I have come to honor the fact that it uses me rather than the other way around – and I regard it as my most sacred tool.
Decades immersed in the art and science of persuasion and human psychology - understanding what makes people delete, hover, stay, and act – is the raw material I work with instinctively and has driven the strong conversions in my business and clients’.
I always say, “You must be as good an attorney as you are a businessperson.” Every brand makes an argument - but not every one proves it. If they don’t buy what you’re saying, they won’t buy what you’re selling. Logic, specifically the logic required in proving a brand’s value, infuses everything I touch with clients. They must get this right and I help define their “thesis” and build the proof required to get the “yes.”
As a lifelong creative, I have always rejected "what's been done" in favor of new frontiers. I have pioneered full brand identities, hero products, promotional campaigns, curriculum, book concepts, and more. I don’t find revenue as much as innovate unique new streams.
A lifetime of writing across many platforms has honed my ability for “brain-sticky” storytelling, communication that grabs and keeps attention and effects change. I consolidate strategies into clear language and simplify the most complex ideas to be quickly grasped. From building verbal brand identities - naming, taglines, and top-level messaging – to writing pitch scripts, I am known for exacting precision.
Playing "school" with my stuffed animals as a child was a clue to my innate interest that I missed for decades until I stumbled upon brain-based learning theory. I fell in love with the idea of revolutionizing how audience's learn. I developed a public speaking course infusing modern brain research on emotion and memory and have never stopped using its framework in the trainings, courses and workshops I've taught through the years. I also naturally teach during consulting projects. One client said recently, “I learned more from you in 45 minutes than in 20 years of running this organization.”
This experience was truly life changing.
It gave me so much knowledge people my age don’t have. One thing I will always remember
is the process you took us through; the specific steps we had to take to make our business project perfect.
